Coordination

Enhancing coordination and collaboration across multiple types of early childhood care and education services.

Knowing communities with early childhood collaborations are better positioned to access and effectively use available resources, state early childhood leaders from the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development; the Data, Research, and Evaluation Subcommittee; state agencies; and other Illinois stakeholders agreed these two metrics would best gauge how the state is working toward establishing and improving these important collaborations.

Collaborations in High-Need Communities
Number of community collaborations established in identified high-needs communities

Community Systems Survey
Percentage of local community collaborations completing the community systems development benchmark survey

Because creating a statewide framework to measure effective community collaborations is a long-term project of the Early Learning Council and state agencies responsible for serving young children and families, the state is in the process of identifying and collecting data for these two metrics. IECAM will provide updates as data become available.
