New Data Dashboard Details Illinois Teacher Shortage

A new data dashboard from the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools dives into 2021 Illinois educator Shortage Survey data to detail an ever-worsening supply of teachers in the state.

The survey report and data dashboard compiles feedback about the depth and reach of Illinois' ongoing shortage from more than 660 Illinois school districts (78% of the total). According to this data, 88% of schools say they have a teacher shortage problem, and 77% report the shortage is getting worse.
