The map below is one of many IECAM helped create for Erikson Institute‘s recent Risk and Reach Report. It shows percent of homeless students enrolled in kindergarten in 2016 by county.

This map shows that 1.8 percent of all kindergartners were reported as homeless by their school’s education liaison in Fiscal Year 2016 per the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. Jefferson County had the highest percentage (14.4 percent) while 11 counties reported 0.0 percent. Thirteen counties fall in the High Risk category on this measure.

Additional maps and county-by-county data can be found on the Erikson Institute’s interactive Risk and Reach webpages.
