Find the most recent birth rates per 1,000 women by Illinois county and school district from the U.S. Census Bureau on our Birth Rates page.

• Our Unemployment Rate page has data and maps for Illinois counties, based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
• The Local Area Unemployment Statistics program (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics) provides maps and the most recent number of people in the labor force, number of unemployed, and unemployment rates for Illinois counties. Data is also available on the state, metro areas, city, and economic development region levels. 

• For the most recent data on infant mortality and birth characteristics by county, see the birth statistics page on the IDPH website. 
• You may also want to contact your local Public Health District office to ask if they have or can direct you to additional or more up-to-date information.

• Illinois Report Card
  At the top left of the home page, type in your school district. When the page for your district appears, select “Students” in the menu bar, and then from the left hand sidebar select the links to data for “Homeless,” “Dropout Rate,” and “Chronically Truant Students.” If you plan to serve a larger area than one school district, be sure to look at the data on all the districts in the geographic area you are interested in serving. You can also search by or select regions other than school districts (city, county), and you can find many other data variables besides those about students.
• Illinois Department of Public Health. Illinois Teen Births by County.

• IECAM provides data for languages spoken in Illinois homes. Our interactive map lets users view the data by year for the top 10 languages other than English spoken in Illinois that year. IECAM also provides lists of the Top 30 languages that are spoken or being learned by children birth through age 5 in Illinois from 2016 to the latest year available.
• U.S. Census Bureau’s State & County QuickFacts (Illinois) provides data on demographic variables related to population, race, education, housing, etc. The Families & Living Arrangements section includes data on “Language other than English spoken at home, percent of persons age 5 years+ 2017–2021” on the state, county, city, or zip code level. For information on a county, for example, type the name of the desired county in the search box near the top left of the page.

The Illinois State Board of Education Illinois Report Card shows numbers and percentages of students experiencing homelessness enrolled in public schools in specific schools and across school districts and the state.
