Gov. J.B. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) recently announced $270 million in funding to help child care providers reopen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Licensed child care providers who meet the eligibility criteria may now apply for Child Care Restoration Grants, a part of the $636M Business Interruption Grants program. This grant funding opportunity, created jointly with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and administered by IDHS, will prioritize child care businesses serving disproportionately Impacted Areas (DIAs), representing those communities hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The application will remain open until Aug. 14 and is available online from INCCRRA at: https://www.inccrra.org/.
