Northwestern Students to Present Research on Key Early Childhood Policy Questions

Join the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development on March 9th, 1:30-3:30 pm at the James Thompson Center, 16th floor, 100 W. Randolph St., Chicago as students from Northwestern University present research on key questions regarding early childhood policy in Illinois.

Presentations respond to questions from the Illinois Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development, under the advisement of the Illinois Early Learning Council. All students were supported through the 10-week course “Crafting Child Policy,” led by Dr. Terri Sabol.

Topics will include: diverse early learners; the opioid crisis’s effect on children; absenteeism; access to state pre-k; English Language Learners; Kindergarten readiness; and mental health needs of children and families.
