New Report: 46% Increase in Uninsured Illinois Children Since 2016

According to a new report from Georgetown University’s Center for Children and Families, an estimated 120,000 Illinois children were uninsured in 2019. This number represents a 46% increase in uninsured children since 2016. With an uninsured rate of 5.6%, Hispanic/Latino children in Illinois are almost 1.5 times more likely to be uninsured than all children (4.0%).
