IDPH and ISBE Release Revised Public Health Guidance for Schools

The state of Illinois has adopted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) updated Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Schools. Subsequently, IDPH and ISBE have released a FAQ document and a Revised Public Health Guidance for Schools (see below) that apply to all public and nonpublic schools serving students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 (pre-K-12). The joint guidance, revised on January 11, 2022, is based on the updated CDC guidance for COVID-19 prevention and state executive orders.
