The Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development (GOECD) has launched the Illinois Early Childhood Racial Equity Efforts & Resources webpage in partnership with the BUILD Initiative to provide information on the state’s commitment to racial equity.

The webpage features the racial equity work of the Illinois Early Learning Council and the Illinois Commission on Equitable Early Childhood Education and Care Funding (the “Early Childhood Funding Commission”). It also provides lists of early childhood racial equity tools and resources organized by content type (e.g. podcasts, Illinois data, books).

The Early Childhood Racial Equity Tools & Resources section includes links to IECAM maps on race/ethnicity, poverty, unemployment, and more.
