Census Tracts
Small, relatively permanent statistical subdivisions of a county or equivalent entity that are updated by local participants prior to each decennial census.

City
Minimum population requirement of 2,500; if located in Cook County, may incorporate with a minimum of 1,200 residents if the area consists of less than 4 square miles and contains all the registered voters of a township not already within the corporate limits of a municipality. Migrant and Seasonal Head Start
a program designed to provide comprehensive Head Start services including child development and social services to low-income families working in agriculture, or families who migrate while working in agriculture

Parents Too Soon
The Parents Too Soon (PTS) program serves new and expectant teen parents living in high risk communities. The goal of the program is to help them learn to effectively parent their child, reduce the rate of subsequent births, improve the health and emotional development of the teen, enhance self sufficiency, and promote healthy growth and development of their children. Services include weekly home visits and peer group meetings on related program topics. PTS programs are operated by 22 community-based service providers in communities throughout the state. PUMAs
Public Use Microdata Areas (PUMAs) are geographic areas for which the Census Bureau provides selected extracts of raw data from a small sample of census records that are screened to protect confidentiality. These extracts are referred to as public use microdata sample (PUMS) files.

Town

Village
